Pastor’s Report: Father Paul was not in attendance.
Principal’s Report: Mr. Kemlock gave a brief presentation on the Five Year Plan for SSPP.
Mr. Kemlock went over the exit report from the accreditation team Advance Ed.
The commendations and recommendations the team relayed were discussed.
Old Business: Dues for HAS are due May 1, 2010.
Longaberger/Vera Bradley Bingo profit was $1500.00
Profit from the Fish Fry was $428.00, we would like to bring it back to SSPP next year.
Hot Dog sale scheduled for April 23 was cancelled. Donations of food items made will go toward the Spring Carnival.
New Business: Golf Tournament April 24, 2010 $55 per person
Breakfast by McDonald’s and Lunch by Chick Fil A
Earth Day: SSPP will have a booth at Earth Day and will use it as an enrollment drive. There will be recycled art, we will showcase one of our Science projects and give away vegan baked goods. We will also give out our spring 2010 SSPP Today magazine.
Carnival: May 1, 2010
Snow Cone machine bought by Ficon-Bush insurance. We were quoted a price of $225.00 for the machine but then the actual bill was $91 more. There was a motion made, seconded, and passed for the HAS to pay for the difference of the machine and not ask FB for the remainder since they have contributed $1000 of support this year.
Talent Show: May 13, 2010
Spaghetti Drive Thru: May 24, 2010
Music Program: there was discussion of the music program for next year. It was discussed that we have on site a music program which is currently not being used. Mr. Brian Dunkley was in attendance and he is interested in being considered for the music program next year.
Teacher wish list: Extra start up money for the teachers next year was discussed.
Adding A Gym was discussed, Mr. Kemlock said Father should have the plans that were previously drawn up for a gym.
Paid electives were discussed.
A motion was made, seconded, and passed to limit discussion to 10 minutes on any topic discussed. If no resolution could be found in 10 minutes of discussion the topic will be tabled until the following meeting.

A motion was made to amend the minutes to strike the line item “we will finalize everything at January H & S.” The motion was seconded and passed.

Pastor’s Report – Father Paul did not have anything to report.
Principals Report – Mr. Kemlock stated that SSPP will continue to follow Fayette County’s inclement weather schedule. He informed the association that he and Father Paul have discussed purchasing a mass call system which could be used in a variety of ways. The cost of the call system was $500.
A discussion was held about alternative schooling during snow days.
Old Business - Dues will be $10 per family and the envelopes will go home in the next
couple of weeks.
Breakfast with St. Nick Profit not reported will report at next meeting.
Reverse Raffle Profit not reported will report at next meeting.
Mulch costs- 80 yards of mulch was delivered and spread for $707.50.
Teacher Christmas bonuses – were respectively declined by the staff.
New Business-
Longaberger/Vera Bradley Bingo March 19, 2010 at the Lewis Community Center.
Spring Carnival May 1, 2010 at Oak Hill High School
There was a motion made to buy a snow cone machine for the school if a sponsor did not volunteer to purchase one before March 31, 2010. The motion was seconded and passed.
Monthly meetings – A motion was made, seconded, and passed to have
Monthly HSA meetings excluding the months of December and May. Any other months may be left to the discretion of the association.
Hot Dog Sale – There will be a hot dog sale April 23, 2010, from 12-6pm. Information on the event will go home soon.
Music Program – Mara Petretich gave a wonderful presentation about a
possible music program which could be implemented next year. It was stated that there is money in the budget for a music program next year.
Talent Show – Mara Petretich offered to co-organize a talent show this year.
Mr. Kemlock asked for travel expenses for the accreditation team which is coming to assess the school. He requested $500-$700. There was discussion on the topic and a motion was made to fund half of the cost of the visit $350.00. There were 13 in favor of appropriating the money, 7 opposed to appropriating the money and 1 whom abstained from voting. The motion passed.
